Handmade Gifts India (“we”, “us”) connects independent Indian makers with buyers. This policy explains what we collect and why. We keep it deliberately simple, because we deliberately collect very little.

What we collect

  • Creators: the details you provide when you create a store — name/brand, email, WhatsApp number, business type, bio, and the product content and images you upload.
  • Buyers:you can browse and order without an account. We do not require you to register or log in. When you tap “Order on WhatsApp”, you are taken to WhatsApp to message the maker directly — that conversation happens on WhatsApp, not on our servers.
  • Usage data:basic, aggregated analytics (e.g. page views and which products are opened) to understand what's popular and improve the site.

How we use it

To operate the marketplace: show storefronts and products, connect buyers to makers over WhatsApp, review and verify new creators, and improve the platform. We do not sell your personal information.

Sharing

A creator's public storefront (name, bio, products, and any Instagram link they add) is visible to everyone. A creator's WhatsApp number is never published on the site or exposed through our API — order buttons route through a server-side redirect so the number stays private until you actually start a chat. We use trusted service providers (hosting, database, and analytics) who process data on our behalf.

Payments

We do not process payments. Orders, pricing, payment, and delivery are arranged directly between the buyer and the maker over WhatsApp.

Your choices

Creators can edit or remove their store information at any time from their dashboard, or email us to delete their account. To ask about the data we hold, contact hello@handmadegiftsindia.com.
